Get Ready for Move-In!

GW is excited to have the Class of 2019 move onto campus. Here is some important information you need to make your move-in experience a great time.

Large Hero Fall Move In_0

Residence Halls open for the 2015 Fall Semester on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 8:00AM. If you are participating in a co-curricular program (Adventure Bound, DC Bound, Hillel LaunchPad, WLP Retreat, Community Building Community, or SEAS Freshmen Getaway), international students, and students attending Colonial Inauguration, you are able to move-in early according to the program dates and should confirm your move-in date on the GW Housing website under Important Dates. If you are not participating in one of these programs, you ARE NOT able to move-in prior to August 29th.

Before arriving to campus, the first step to confirm that you are arriving and to make sure that you have access to your residence hall is to complete the online Self Check-In form. This form is used to collect your emergency contact and missing person contact information. The Self Check-In form can be found at GW Housing e-Services. You should also review the move-in hubs information so that you arrive to the correct location to pick up your room key. There is also information about what time each floor is able to move-in. Finally, make sure to review the lists of what to bring and what not to bring with you to GW. If you are planning to ship items to campus, please have them arrive a maximum of three days before your arrival to campus. Packages will be available at either your move-in hub or GW’s Mail & Package Services office, located at the Mount Vernon Mail & Package Services office in West Hall.

Finally, take a few moments to review our list of move-in tips that should help to make your move-in day go smoothly. We look forward to welcoming you to campus!
